Here’s some good news to new publishers:
As part of our efforts to make sure that the AdSense account details publishers provide are valid and correct, we do a couple types of validation that you may be aware of: the Personal Identification Number (PIN) program and, in some locations, phone number verification. One or both of these verification methods is required in order to ensure the security and accuracy of your information so you can receive payments from AdSense.
In the past, our system would ask you to verify your information when your earnings reached $50. However, we’ve recently changed the threshold to $10. This lowered amount means many of you may see a PIN arrive in your mailbox soon, as well as a prompt in your account to verify your phone number. For more information about these holds, visit the links in the ‘Required Actions’ box on your Payment History page.
Know more about PIN at the official Google Adsense blog.

Yesterday, my heart went out to a mom who was begging on national television, through a local news program, for her daughter to come back home. Her daughter has been missing for several days after allegedly going for an eye ball with some guy she knew through Friendster and her family was no longer assured of her safety.
So how can we stay safe with social network sites (ie Friendster, MySpace, Facebook etc.)?
1. Limit the amount of personal information you post. I’ve seen some people who even posted their home address, cellphone number, and e-mail address. This information could make you vulnerable to phishing and spam, stalkers, and several malicious acts.
2. Limit your friends to those you know. Never add anonymous invites because you maybe exposing your identity to potential abusers.
3. Assess the information you receive. Don’t believe everything you read online. Everybody can post misleading information about their own identity.

Just recently, I’ve noticed that my Adsense earnings went higher, averaging to $7 per day, from previously $1-3 per day.
My first 5 months with Adsense were very frustrating. I did several ways to make more money but I’ve always ended up with earning not more than $1 per day. I patiently waited for 5 months before I could start receiving my first Adsense check. It was even a test when my first Adsense check was lost. Fortunately, I have immediately put a hold to my account.
How I increased my Adsense earnings?
1. More websites means more earnings. This was what I initially thought. Then I put up the most visited ones: lyrics sites particularly offering OPM songs and celebrity blogs. I even put up spam blogs using Blogger. I failed. Why? Because more websites means more time to maintain them all. Based on my personal experience, it should be adequate to maintain up to 3 websites.
2. Optimizing my websites. I read several SEO sites, Google Adsense optimization site, etc. Some sites were quite helpful.
3. Posting about free stuff. I posted about free top-level domains, free medical e-books, free Asian drama and anime online streaming, free Rapidshare link, free OPM mp3, free Japanese manga, etc. These are among my most viewed posts.

I’ve encountered quite a number website having Zango software ad dialog box, especially on download sites and online video sites. I used to be a regular user of PeekVid to view some TV series and movie I missed. But recently, I visited the site and a dialog box asks me to download a software first before I could view the video. With that alone, I already suspected that it maybe a malicious software. I searched for it and found out that it was indeed an adware downloader.
The Zango software ads state that to be able to view videos, play games, listen online, you have to download their “software”, so an unsuspecting internet user downloads it, unknowingly installing spyware and adware in his/her computer.
Zango, formerly known as 180solutions and Hotbar, manufactures known adware and spyware typically required to access partner’s games, DRM-protected videos and software. Some online and home PC security giants such as McAfee, states that this program may have legitimate uses however, it a potentially unwanted program and an adware downloader.
StopBadware.org listed undesirable software behaviors of the Zango Easy Messenger such as excessive pop ups, automatically runs on startup, displays pop-up advertisements, installs adware, and bundled software cannot be closed. Wikipedia
