I was almost brought to the hospital yesterday.
I woke up early in the morning because I had a terrible tummy ache. I went downstairs and look for food because I thought I was just hungry.
Minutes after, the pain worsen, then I was vomiting and had watery diarrhea. I was imagining the worst scenario. In my mind, I was ruling in and out my diagnoses. My first impression was appendicitis, then I was thinking of pancreatitis and after a while, I was thinking of typhoid fever. Morbid thoughts!
When I can’t tolerate the pain anymore, my parents decided to just bring me to the hospital. Good thing, my aunt arrived and gave me an antibiotic and anti-spasmodic which relieved the pain. Thank God. Now, I feel abdominal cramps because of excessive vomiting.
Thank God and my aunt, it could have been my first admission to the hospital. Just the thought of needles and emergency rooms made me scared. Haha. Yeah, I am a medical student but I get scared with hospital facilities sometimes. ![]()
