This is another e-mail I always want to receive in my inbox.
TRUST is a very important factor for all relationships. When trust is broken, it is the end of the relationship. Lack of trust leads to suspicion, suspicion generates anger, anger causes enmity and enmity may result in separation.
A telephone operator told me that one day she received a phone call. She answered, “Public Utilities Board.” There was silence. She repeated, “PUB.” There was still no answer. When she was going to cut off the line, she Heard a lady’s voice, “Oh, so this is PUB.Sorry, I got the number from my Husband’s pocket but I do not know whose
number it is.”
Without mutual trust, just imagine what will happen to the couple if the telephone operator answered with just “hello” instead of “PUB”. Read more…
A new interesting treatment is being tested by Philadelphia doctors to restore life and bring people back from the dead.
A cardiac arrest patient was saved by the new experimental treatment of chilled saline injection. Cooling pads are then wrapped around a patient. The body temperature is normally 98 degrees, but cooling brings it down to 92 degrees. Doctors keep it there for about 24 hours. This process is called intentional hypothermia. Accordingly, it decreases cellular injury when the cells are deprived of oxygen, so with less injury we are able to do a better job of getting people back. Read more…
I recently joined Yahoo! Green, a Yahoo! campaign on saving the planet from emission of carbon dioxide, the main greenhouse gas behind global warming. By joining, you will know how many tons of carbon dioxide you will save per year with your pledged tasks.
Here are my pledged tasks:
1. Air dry my clothes instead of using the dryer. It also saves power!
2. Carpool, take public transit one day per week instead of driving to work. I don’t have my own car so I always take public transportation.
3. Replace my old refrigerator with new energy star one. We’ve been using one ever since.
I received this message from an e-mail. I thought it was another one of those chain e-mails circulating in the internet which threatens to kill your mother or your loved one. But I read it anyway despite my dislike to chain e-mails.
IF YOU DON’T READ THIS TO THE VERY END, YOU HAVE LOST A DAY IN YOUR LIFE. AND WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED, DO AS I AM DOING AND SEND IT ON.
George Carlin’s Views on Aging
Do you realize that the only time in our lives when we like to get old is when we’re kids? If you’re less than 10 years old, you’re so excited about aging that you think in fractions.
“How old are you?” “I’m four and a half!” You’re never thirty-six and a half. You’re four and a half, going on five! That’s the key!!
You get into your teens, now they can’t hold you back.
You jump to the next number, or even a few ahead. Read more…
The Vatican has issued a “Ten Commandments” for motorists to keep them on the road to salvation, warning drivers against the sins of road rage, abuse of alcohol or even simple rudeness.
1. You shall not kill.
2. The road shall be for you a means of communion between people and not of mortal harm.
3. Courtesy, uprightness and prudence will help you deal with unforeseen events.
4. Be charitable and help your neighbor in need, especially victims of accidents.
5. Cars shall not be for you an expression of power and domination, and an occasion of sin. Read more…
Can’t get over of Beyonce’s Irreplaceable? I am sure you will likewise want to listen to the male version, which is a parody of the song, over and over again. I was browsing my brother Friendster profile when an “odd” music on the background struck my attention.
