I was reading the PC World Website and the title “Meet the $30,000 Cell Phone” caught my attention. I didn’t know that a very expensive mobile phone which cost a fortune is actually real. I can already live a lifetime with that amount of money. Seriously.
The phone I was referring to was the Vertu Cell Phone that probably only rich brat like Paris Hilton can afford. What’s so special about this phone?
The accessories and phone parts are made of pure jewels. It has a ruby keypad bearings, a blemish-free sapphire and stainless steel alloy housing, a deeper bass speakers, and 18 carat gold furnishings on its metal casing. One of Vertu’s released phones is the “Vertu Boucheron 150″ which is made on pure solid gold.
Are you willing to spend as much for a cellphone? So this question is raised, how much are you willing to spend for a cellphone?

I have been complaining about the unsolicited Smart Telecom advisories about their current promos. I have been receiving annoying logos, as annoying as a sexy girl posing with her bikini. I also receive some monotones with .amr format. They say it’s free but if you subscribe you can receive related stuff within a week. I say these were unsolicited because I have not subscribed or activated any of their service. Well, maybe this could be a course to all Smart Buddy or Prepaid subscribers. We are all bound to receive these text spams.
I have been sending “Alerts Off” messages to 211, as stated at end of their text alerts, to unsubscribe, but to no avail. An automated reply says that the service will be deactivated after 2 days or 48 hours but I still receive them, after that span of time. In fact, I still receive these alerts until now when I have already unsubscribed for three times already. I have sent a complaint letter a couple of times already but I always get a “we’ll see to your problem” replies. The customer care hotline is always busy as expected.
To all Smart subscribers who once had this problem, how did you deactivate your text alerts?

I have not written any personal entry for this blog for long time now as I have been busy with my internship and maintaining my other personal blog on my spare time.
Jammed: Full into Capacity has been online for over three years now, have gone through changes similar to what happens to a usual blog – topic and layout changes, no-post-for-weeks stages, traffic drops (as reflected on my dropping Alexa rank) and the worst thing is disappearing from the top spots of Google SERPs. I am still figuring out until now which of the Google’s guidelines have I violated.
Since the drop in traffic, my Adsense earnings have dropped to over 50%. This was expected because most of my traffic comes from Google searches, with about 40% or more from Yahoo! searches.
During these past days, these visits from Yahoo! searches are still giving me Adsense income. So after over a month of blog vacation (the previous posts have been powered by Syndicate Kahuna, an auto-syndicator), I have decided to increase pageviews through Yahoo! searches. To do it, I have to regularly post interesting topics or potentially searched topics that could drive traffic to this blog.
So I am on a mission now:
- increase my visitors coming from Yahoo!
- target potential visitors from other search engines like MSN, AskJeeves, and Altavista.
- increase my Alexa rank.
- keep my loyal visitors and subscribers.

NY Times featured a story of a full-pledged doctor, Dr. Arnold Kim, who traded medicine to become a full-time blogger.
It had been a hobby — albeit a time-consuming one — while Dr. Kim earned his medical degree. He kept at it as he completed his medical training and began diagnosing patients’ kidney problems. Dr. Kim’s Web site now attracts more than 4.4 million people and 40 million page views a month, according to Quantcast, making it one of the most popular technology Web sites.
It is enough to make Dr. Kim hang up his stethoscope. This month he stopped practicing medicine and started blogging full time.
The story scares me because I have certain ideation sometimes (that is giving up medicine for blogging). I could pretty much relate to his story. In my case, I have been having a struggle in adjusting my time on my hospital duties and blogging since I know how lucrative blogging is. I actually have thought of quitting medicine and do full-time blogging instead. I was thinking that I could earn more if I have all the time to make posts regularly and create blogs to add up to my online earnings. Thank God, however, that I was still sane enough not to give up medicine for blogging. I still think that pursuing medicine will lead me to a much brighter and fulfilling career.

I’ve been out of the blogosphere these past few days because of 2 reasons: graduation and account suspension. Our graduation rites and ball will be tomorrow and on Sunday, respectively. So I’ve been busy looking for a graduation dress and attending the rehearsals. I had to do boutique-hopping to find a suitable one. I need three dresses and the budget is tight so I have to carefully consider the price.
I was so busy with my graduation that it was already late to notice that my site has been suspended by my host due to CPU overload. This was the second time it happened. The suspension was primarily due to increased blog traffic and some WordPress plugins and scripts eating up the resources. This has always been a case with poorly scripted plugins. I already did some minimization steps but apparently, it was inevitable due to the overwhelming traffic I was getting these past days. Gladly though, the technical support of WebHostingBuzz (my host) has been very helpful to assist me solve my problem. They were kind enough to transfer my account to a high-resource server free of charge. It has cut me from spending much on VPS or dedicated hosting. I hope this does not happen again.

I’ve been planning of putting up a blog containing OPM 3gp videos for cellphones. In fact, I’ve already started it. But it is still on experimental stage. Currently, I am using WordPress as my platform but I am also opting to use a CMS like Joomla! or Xoops.
Where did the idea come from?
A friend of mine has been obsessed with 3gp music videos that he would ask me every time we meet to download him some 3gp music videos, even movies.
Where to get videos
I usually search for member-uploaded Pinoy music videos in YouTube.com. There are also available ones in Google Video and Yahoo! Videos.
Software Needed:
I am currently using YouTube Downloader which can both download videos directly from YouTube in .flv format. It has also the ability to convert flv files to 3gp format. It also allows you to convert downloaded videos for Ipod, Iphone, PSP, Windows Media, XVid and MP3.
