Did You Know: The New 7 Deadly Social Sins
The 7 deadly sins has received a modern-day makeover! The Vatican has come up with a new list of 7 deadly sins (original 7 deadly sins were pride, envy, gluttony, lust, anger, greed, and sloth).
According to the Vatican, you offend God not only by stealing, taking the Lord’s name in vain or coveting your neighbor’s wife, but also by wrecking the environment, carrying out morally debatable experiments that manipulate DNA or harm embryos.
The seven social sins are:
1. “Bioethical” violations such as birth control
2. “Morally dubious” experiments such as stem cell research
3. Drug abuse
4. Polluting the environment
5. Contributing to widening divide between rich and poor
6. Excessive wealth
7. Creating poverty
The first two depicted well yet again another science and religion conflict.
So its not a mortal sin anymore to be lustful, envious or greedy? hehehe.
Are they allowed to do this?
I mean doesn’t God set the “rules” especially the Mortal sins?
I think what they are doing can be called blasphemous. They pretend to be God. Isn’t that a sin as well?
