How I Increased Adsense Earnings?

January 30th, 2008

Just recently, I’ve noticed that my Adsense earnings went higher, averaging to $7 per day, from previously $1-3 per day.

My first 5 months with Adsense were very frustrating. I did several ways to make more money but I’ve always ended up with earning not more than $1 per day. I patiently waited for 5 months before I could start receiving my first Adsense check. It was even a test when my first Adsense check was lost. Fortunately, I have immediately put a hold to my account.

How I increased my Adsense earnings?
1. More websites means more earnings. This was what I initially thought. Then I put up the most visited ones: lyrics sites particularly offering OPM songs and celebrity blogs. I even put up spam blogs using Blogger. I failed. Why? Because more websites means more time to maintain them all. Based on my personal experience, it should be adequate to maintain up to 3 websites.

2. Optimizing my websites. I read several SEO sites, Google Adsense optimization site, etc. Some sites were quite helpful.

3. Posting about free stuff. I posted about free top-level domains, free medical e-books, free Asian drama and anime online streaming, free Rapidshare link, free OPM mp3, free Japanese manga, etc. These are among my most viewed posts.

4. The most important step is, considering your readers and doing away with Adsense-driven thoughts. I’ve been reading similar advice from different Adsense-earning giants that posting quality contents always drives traffic to your blog, hence more earnings.

5. Posting more frequently. Previously, this blog could rarely get a weekly update. These past days, I made it a point to blog at least one post a day.

6. Using Adsense Injection WordPress plugin. It randomly inserts AdSense ads in various different places on your blog with page loads.

6. And lastly, I credit my increased traffic to Entrecard, BlogEngage, PostonFire, PinoyBlogosphere, and PinoyBlog. Through it, I had freely (almost) advertised my blog to highly trafficked sites.

So far, my earnings this January is the highest payment I could receive and hope to increase it more in the coming months by finding out more ways.

Yeah it’s very frustrating the first months. After a while I managed to make 60$ per month on a social blog network. This now encourages to start my own blog http://bestofmoney.info just a few days ago only !

I think you have to focus now on writing more quality content, then advertise your site. Entrecard now makes it possible for you to advertise to websites almost for free because you don’t have to spend money for it.

You can also make comments on several blogs. Join blog networks also like BlogCatalog, MyBlogLog.

    The formula is simple:
Quality posts + advertising, networking = more traffic (because your visitors keep on coming back) = increased Adsense earning.

great post… i also think that quality content should be the priority of bloggers, without it, you will have no visitor loyalty and all advertising and networking efforts will be futile. my role model for this is Maki of http://www.doshdosh.com, you can try to read how he was able to accumulate more than 10,000 feed subscribers the “hard” (but better) way

And for new Adsense publishers and student like me, it helps a lot.
