How to Add an External E-Mail Account to Your Yahoo Mail?
January 15th, 2008
I was writing an e-mail using my Yahoo Mail account when a drop down arrow and an “Add Mail Account” link beside my e-mail address caught my attention. I clicked on the link and I was surprised because it is now possible to add additional e-mail to my existing account. Or if it has been there for a long time, I didn’t notice.

Most of us have multiple e-mail accounts for different purposes: as business account, Paypal address, even for spam e-mails, etc. Before, to be able to sign in using a different account, you have to sign out from the current e-mail you are using. With the new Yahoo! Mail feature, you can retrieve your messages from your external e-mail account to your permanent Yahoo! Mailbox.
Here is a step-by-step process on how to add another e-mail account to your Yahoo Mail.
Currently, only one additional e-mail address is allowed for Yahoo Mail basic users. You’ll need to access the Add Accounts page through the Yahoo! Mail Classic interface because they are still tweaking the Yahoo! Mail Accounts option for the new Yahoo! Mail.

I used to love yahoo .. but since all the spam gets into my yahoo mail, I switched to google and i found google much easier and convenient to use … not to mention the 6GB space …
I forward all my emails to my gmail account and I am solved
I also have a GMail account but I am more used to my Yahoo! Mail. I am not receiving those spam e-mails because I don’t usually use my primary Yahoo! Mail address in signing up to online forms. I use a different one or my GMail because of it’s more effective spam protection.
Thanks for dropping by.
