Make your Prom night memorable

January 26th, 2007

February is love month. Aside from anticipating Valentine’s dates, teens are also excited with JS prom nights. Since it’s a memorable night, don’t spoil it. Here are a few tips how:

1. Be with the right company. Chose the right date and ask the right person. Oftentimes, prom nights turn to nightmares because of bad company.

2. Don’t overspend on prom dresses! Looking good on your prom night does not mean spending too much on your dresses. You can borrow a dress from your older sister or a friend. There are also rent-a-gown shops, oftentimes they offer a lot of homecoming and prom dresses. You will only spend around P500-P750, and usually it comes with free makeup. Looking good on your prom night does not entirely depend on how expensive your dress is, you can wear simple ones as long as you carry it very well.

3. Be responsible and party with your mind. Celebrate a safe alcohol & drug-free Prom night. Peer pressure and pop culture have many teens believing that prom night and alcohol go hand-in-hand. This should not be the case. Studies say that over 59% of alcohol-related fatal car crashes among teens occur during Prom season.

4. Don’t lose it in the romance. Many teens act on impulse and believe that sex is an additional spice for the prom nights. Do not do things that you might regret later. Caught up in the romance of the moment many teens make bad choices that they later regret. Don’t be one of them!

Enjoy your prom night, but know your limitations.
