Making Money Online Through Paid-to Programs

December 14th, 2006

Joining paid-to programs, is it a desperate way to make money?

Before I was hooked to making websites, I got acquainted first with several paid-to programs. I was desperate to make money at that time so I would try every opportunity I could encounter. I’ve tried paid-to-surf, paid-to-post, paid-to-review and others. See, how desperate I was? You can laugh now.

But you can’t blame me. I am already 22 and still a burden to my parents. I should be working now! Somehow, I feel a tinge of guilt every time I ask for money. My only consolation is, it was not my choice to take up medicine, it’s my father’s. He forced me to it, so I am partly to be blamed. But hey, don’t get me wrong, I am loving medicine now. Haha.

When my age struck at 21 and still a struggling student, jobless and dependent, I realized I need to have money earned through my efforts. Somehow I still get hesitant to ask for money when I need to buy something. We are not that well-off to buy our mini-luxuries such as eating out with friends, buying my internet card, etc. But medicine demands a lot of time, so I can’t manage to have even a part-time job.

So I opted to online earning. When I searched the net about ways of making money online, it brought me to a paid-to-surf program. The first program I stumbled upon, and it was also highly recommended was Studio Traffic. Then I also signed up for other paid-to-surf programs. After several days, I stopped it. I suddenly realized that my efforts and time were not well-compensated. Imagine getting a $0.1 (that about 5 pesos) per day for browsing at least 100 pages! Then the minimum payout at that time was $10 dollars, so you have to wait at least four months to get the money you earned.

I tried other means. I signed up for QuickRewards.net, which is also a paid-to-click program, on paid-emails programs, which only caused spam to make its way to my inbox, and paid surveys. Paid surveys are quite promising but you need to have some $20 to sign up. Joining free paid surveys is not really a good idea because you will be waiting for nothing, that’s based on my experience.

I have also tried joining paid-to-post programs (Cashposting.com), in which you get $0.2-0.3$ per post to their message boards. If you are fond of forums and posting, you may like their service. It’s actually a fun way to make money, only that just like other money making ways, you have to wait for eternity before you can be paid out. If you can make 3000 posts within a month, then it might be good for you.

Good thing, I decided to join Blogger when I had my come-back after a long leave from the blogging world. I was able to sign up for a Google Adsense. And for me, Google Adsense is the most convenient way to make money online.

Note: Studio Traffic is now blacklisted at Scam.com. Most of the other paid-to-surf programs I joined in have shut down. This is the risk of joining these type of programs, it maybe just a scam.

QuickRewards.net and CashPosting.com are still working.

Looking to make a little money on the side or start your own business. How about selling products online without any startup capital required. You can start your own business for free. I did. I learned about http://www.cafepress.com/?pid=7458855 just a few weeks ago. It enables you to make designs and to sell your designs on T-shirts, hats, mugs, stickers and other items. The best part about it, is they make the products…you don’t do anything other than to make the designs. It is free to set up a shop…then you just sit back and watch your products sell…you receive commissions on each sale! I am doing so well that I created a webpage just to help display and track all of the “shops” that I have opened. Feel free to check it out. http://www.geocities.com/cafepresslinks
