If you don’t have a Firefox Browser, you can get it at http://getfirefox.com. All the Firefox extensions must be downloaded through the Firefox browser for immediate installation.
Extensions extend the functionality of your Mozilla Firefox.
IE Tab - Embeds Internet Explorer in tabs of Mozilla/Firefox. So you can switch a Firefox view of the site by clicking an icon at the bottom of your browser. I would call this extension, browser within a browser. 
This is most useful to website owners to see if their websites are compatible both with Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer.
