Publish your blog posts in these Digg alternative sites and get noticed easily!

March 6th, 2008

Social bookmarking is one way of getting good traffic. Popularly social bookmarking sites include Digg, del.icio.us, Sphinn, etc. However, due to massive users on each sites, small blogs rarely get noticed. So the best way to do is try “smaller” sites which can be good alternatives.

Termed as “social networking review sites”, these sites lets you bookmark, discover and share stories (or even videos, pictures and your own articles) with other users.

1. BlogEngage. This site has been consistent in providing referral to this blog. I’ve submitted some of my articles, which are usually published. BlogEngage allows you to submit your blog article that will be reviewed and voted by the users, and will be promoted to the main page based on popularity. Newly submitted blog articles are placed under the “upcoming” category. Once these articles received sufficient votes, they get published on the main page.

2. Mixx.com. Mixx lets you submit not only blog articles but also videos and photos. Posts are grouped into categories and even if your newly submitted article gets published on front page (by its tabbed browsing), giving it more chance to get published and noticed.

3. Post-on-Fire also lets you submit articles from various topics.

4. techTAGG (formerly aDigger) is an alternative to other user driven technology related news sites. Their primary focus is on technology related news from main stream medias and blogs.

5. Profigg.com lets you submit

6. HealthRanker are focused on health-related articles and blogs.

7. Ximmy. You get paid just by sharing your favorites. You earn points that you can redeem for cash every time you share news and stories (including your own content). You get paid at the same time earn traffic.

8. Blogging Zoom.  “Blogging Zoom is a place where bloggers can share content that they and other bloggers have written. Blogging Zoom is the perfect place to go for people that are tired of the mainstream media and content. The users of Blogging Zoom determine which content is valuable and which content isn’t. ‘Zooming’ or voting positively for a post or article will give it more exposure and with enough Zooms, your content will hit the front page to be showcased to the masses.” (Quoted from their About page)

The internet is fast-paced and it continually grows with innovations and trends put out by its users. Social networking review sites have been one of the greatest thing the internet has to offer.

I am welcoming suggestions for other Digg-alternative sites.  As I have told, the internet is fast-paced and expanding continuously so I can only list those sites I happened to stumble over. :)

Kind of funny you mention all this sites with no traffic ( except Mixx which does have huge traffic) but the biggest only blogger social site you do not mention.

There are too many Digg clones out there. Isn’t there any way to automatically submit your articles to multiple websites?

http://www.subbmitt.com is a better alternative because all submitted articles make the front page and what’s more is that you don’t even have to register or login to submit articles or comments. Check it out.
