How To Create A Search Engine Friendly Article or Blog Post?

June 15th, 2008

A great way to expose your article on the search engines is to optimize your articles or blog posts as if they were pages on your website.

Here’s how you can get an article ranked well and generate tons of traffic:

1) Go to Google Adwords’ Keyword Suggestion tool and type in some general keywords in your niche. Look for a good Search Volume and copy those keywords into a spreadsheet or text document.

2) Search for those keywords in quotes on Google. For example, if your keyword is “dog training tips”, that’s
exactly how I would input it in Google.  Look for results of less than 2,000,000. These search terms are relatively easy to rank well for.

3) Write an article, optimized for those keywords.

4) Submit your article to the directories.

5) Start building backlinks to your keyword optimized article(s) as if they were pages on your website. You can try social bookmarking, blog posts, Hub Pages, Squidoo pages, etc. You will soon start getting some tasty placings for your article(s), and ultimately each article will start milking more traffic easily.

Your goal is to have hundreds of articles out there. That’s how you create massive traffic. And massive traffic is how to create massive money! If you are going to offer tips or advice, make a list of what you intend to include in your article.

Get Free Traffic from Social Networking Sites

April 30th, 2008

Social Networking comes in many shapes and forms, but the good thing is that it’s easy to dabble in and I’ve, personally, seen great results with little effort.

It’s free to try, so there are no excuses.

Here’s how it works. You sign up for one or more of the programs below (all are free).
• StumbleUpon.com
• Digg.com
• Reddit.com

(You can search Google or other search engines to find hundreds more. This is just for starters.)

Next, update your profile on each site you’ve joined, including your URL and photo.

Then, the next time you post something of interest on your blog (or see something on a friend’s blog), you just submit it to the sites above.

Many of these Social Networking sites expect you to be an active participant. You’re expected to rate and comment on other people’s contributions. Just jump in and play with it and watch your stats to see what is and is not working. You’ll see the traffic start to trickle in if you play by the rules and share quality information. (Don’t be afraid to have an opinion and stand out!)

Blogger Forums - A Great Place To Advertise Your Blog

April 17th, 2008

No matter what type of blog that you have, one of the best places that you can advertise your blog is to join a blogger forum. After all, everyone who posts there has a blog and thats the main subject. It’s a great place to meet other bloggers and to advertise your blog.

One great thing about blogger forums is the blog showcase or show-off-your-blog categories or forums where you can literally show off you blog, extract constructive criticisms from your fellow members helping you create better. In this way, you are also advertising your blog. Several good reasons why you should join blogger forums are provided by problogger, Darren Rowse.

There are quite a few blogger forums that you can sign up for on the Internet. Here are of the highly-trafficked and great blogger forums that can be potential sources of traffic.

1. Bloggeries lets you show off your blog to almost 2000 members (over 900 are active). You can also ask for a blog review and find lots of tools that you can use for your own blog. Bloggeries also added the option add your RSS feed to your profile and your latest posts will be added on your blogger profile. You can also list your blog on their directory.

2. Blogger Forums also has the forum category “Show Off Your Blog” where you can your blog to thousands of active members.

Blogger forums are a great place to advertise because everyone in them are of the same mind and want to make certain that their blogs get noticed and read.

5 things I learned from fellow bloggers on increasing my feed subscribers

March 8th, 2008

This blog has been online for over a year but I have not received enough number of feed subscribers to boast. I only got around 10 subscribers. Recently though, I saw how my feed subscriber count went as high as 51 (as of this moment). This wouldn’t have been possible without the help of articles I read from other bloggers.

When it comes to increasing your feed subscribers, I found these great tips helpful:

1. Always provide good and helpful content. This has been overly emphasized in every blogging tips about increasing feed count. Of course, this is vital in attracting visitors, and potential subscribers as well. This has two benefits: getting new subscriptions and preventing unsubcriptions.

2. Adhering to frequent posting or not? There has been a debate going on in the blogosphere regarding the recommended posting frequency. Some bloggers would recommend that posting more frequently can bring much traffic. I used to highly recommend it because it’s one way of showing your site’s activity. Previously, I could post at least 2 articles a day. However, this did not bring any increase in the number of subscribers. Something must be wrong.

A post by Karlo of PinoyBlogero made me realize that I may be choking my readers and spamming their inbox prompting them to unsubscribe from my feeds.
