How to Spot a Fake Paypal E-mail?

Recently, Tim of BeThumbed PayPal account was hacked because of filling up a fake form which was purportedly sent by a Paypal staff. I’ve also received a similar e-mail, but I just ignored it. Good thing I was busy blogging at that time that I totally forgot about the e-mail. I also logged in directly to their website to read if similar announcement appeared in their “What’s New” section.

Paypal had been particular in securing their merchants’ accounts. They provided tips on how to protect your account.

The August 2007 Philippine Licensure Exam for Physicians is fast approaching. How do you prepare for it? Here are few tips you can follow:

1. Follow these tips from The House Officer’s Survival Guide: Rules, Laws, Lists and Other Medical Musings, by Lawrence Martin, M.D for It is written for doctors in training, but will also be of interest to medical students, and practicing physicians who must take recertifying exams.

2. Get good reviewers and focus on one study material per subject area. This way, you can concentrate more and it won’t take more of your time. Of course you will still need the “big” text books for clarification of some points you can’t understand while taking the review.

3. To attend to review center or not? Some successful passers do not advocate attending review center while others do. It would depend on the person’s preference.

1. If you know the menu from the restaurant you’re going to, plan what you’re going to have ahead of time. This will help save you from making a last minute decision that could result in high-calorie choices.

2. Drink at least one full-glass of water or iced tea before eating your meal. This helps your digestive process, and, because you’ll feel full sooner, you will eat less.

How to extend your Adobe Photoshop CS 3 trial version?

The Adobe Photoshop CS 3 since its release on December 2006 has already reached millions of downloads. The beta version is available as a shareware, which means you have to register the software after 30 days by buying your own copy to continue using it. This poses a dilemma to photoshop users who cannot afford for a copy.

I installed my copy a month ago which expired few days ago. I’ve searched the web for cracks or serials that will permanently activate my copy but it seemed that there’s none available yet. Good thing my brother recommended a trick to extend my trial period by adjusting the date and time setting of my PC. In my case I adjust the date before the installation date when I want to use Adobe Photoshop.

More than 100 years ago, author Robert Louis Stevenson offered the following tips for maintaining a positive attitude. They still apply today.

1. Make up your mind to be happy. Learn to find pleasure in simple things.

2. Make the best of your circumstances. No one has everything, and everyone has something of sorrow intermingled with gladness of life. The trick is to make the laughter outweigh the tears.

3. Don’t take yourself too seriously. Don’t think that somehow you should be protected from misfortune that befalls other people.
