July 28th, 2008

My account from WebHostingBuzz got suspended again because I was not able to timely pay for my invoice for this month – all because of the authorization failure notice I have been getting in the 2CO billing page using Paypal. Good thing the 2CO staff has guided me through and helped me fix the problem.

Refer friends to Kontera and receive $25 bonus

April 9th, 2008

Kontera In-Text AdvertisingKontera, the leading provider of In-Text contextual advertising and information services for online advertisers, publishers, and users, is giving $25 bonus for publishers for every referred publisher.

Kontera has been a good online income generator for my blogs. I signed up as a publisher last December 2007 and have accumulated $59 earnings as of today. I started with only $0.2 average earning per day; not a good income provider you say. I sticked with it, however, because I see it as a potential income generator for my blogs. I signed up my three other blogs (my personal blog, my health blog and my medical and nursing student’s guide blog). My income substantially increased since then, reaching up to $2/day (not on a daily basis). My income now ranges from $0.5 to $2.00 per day. It’s not that much compared to my other income generator like Adsense but it augments to my daily income.

Things to Remember To Avoid Get-Paid-To (GPT) Program Scams

February 8th, 2008

Get-Paid-To (GPT) sites (e.g. paid surveys, get paid to click, get paid to read e-mails, get paid to surf, get paid to post, get paid to complete offers, get paid to blog, get paid to socialize, etc.) are the most attractive money-making opportunities to internet users, especially to starters. I, too, had several experiences with paid-to programs when I was just learning that the internet promises real money through these programs. Even now, I am a member of some GPT programs.

Paid-to programs are appealing because most of these do not require payment for registration and you can spend any amount of time at your convenience. With numerous paid-to sites coming out, you can hardly distinguish which are worth trying (and is really paying) and which are plain scams.

Most of these programs require you to pay a certain amount to be a premium members. Being a premium member entitles you to earn more with your account. Who wouldn’t want to earn more, right? So you pay for the premium package. During the first days, you were elated because you see your earnings getting bigger and bigger. Then suddenly, you wake up one day losing everything. You were scammed! There is an increasing number of users who succumb to this kind of easy money but wake up one day getting scammed because they forgot the most important step before joining and putting money in these programs – they failed to investigate

January 28th, 2008

I just read the good news from Pinoy Entrecards. It is now possible to withdraw your Paypal balance (minimum of $10.00 USD) to any Philippine or Indonesian bank account.

This feature was recently opened by Paypal to its Filipino and Indonesian merchants and members.

eBay’s online payment division and the global leader in online payments, PayPal, has added a new withdrawal feature for its Philippine and Indonesian members, allowing them to conveniently withdraw funds from their PayPal accounts to their local bank accounts.

A step-by-step procedure on how to withdraw funds from your Paypal account is found here.

How to Spot a Fake Paypal E-mail?

January 18th, 2008

Recently, Tim of BeThumbed PayPal account was hacked because of filling up a fake form which was purportedly sent by a Paypal staff. I’ve also received a similar e-mail, but I just ignored it. Good thing I was busy blogging at that time that I totally forgot about the e-mail. I also logged in directly to their website to read if similar announcement appeared in their “What’s New” section.

Paypal had been particular in securing their merchants’ accounts. They provided tips on how to protect your account.

How the send and receive feature of Paypal helped me?

January 8th, 2008

The recent development of Paypal service in the Philippines, which now includes receive feature has helped a lot of internet entrepreneurs, bloggers, online auctioneers, sellers and buyers, webmasters, and the regular internet users.

In my case, it also helped me a lot:

1. For my web hosting: I am now able to pay for web hosting for my sites without worrying about my account being deleted for not logging in for days. My sites have been hosted by Ejam Hosting for almost a year but due to limited features and increasing website demand on bandwidth and space, I decided to switch to a paid host.

2. Online Auctions: I can now join in online auctions without the need to worry on the payment method. Most online auctions support Paypal such as eBay. I’ve been wanting to buy a 3G phone. My Paypal balance, however, is not yet sufficient to buy a new one.
