The new OPM!
I am glad that the OPM (Original Pilipino Music) industry is reviving. The 90’s was the golden age for OPM because of bands like Eraserheads, Hungry Young Poets (now Barbie’s Cradle), Rivermaya, and a lot more.
The last two years were a nightmare because of coming out of the so-called novelty songs. Gladly, new OPM bands have come to revive the industry… the Bamboo comeback, Rivermaya had it’s fair share of new releases, there’s Hale who captured most girls listeners (I was one of them. Haha), and a lot more. Though, right now, I am disappointed with the revival-of-songs thingy by some artists. I just want them to release originals. For me, I will appreciate them more if they did.
OOT: I want to buy the ultraelectricomagneticJam album. The album contains the original hits of Eraserheads sang by popular artists like Imago, Barbie Almalbis , MYMP, and others.
