October 14th, 2007

Google Earth, where you can virtually view whole of the earth, plus YouTube videos showing different geographic destinations will give more exciting view of the earth! Google now ties YouTube videos that have been tagged with geographic information to Google Earth destinations.

How to activate this feature:
1. Download and install the latest version of Google Earth.

2. Activate the feature in the left-side panel of Google Earth by ticking the box before the YouTube button.

3. Once you select the YouTube button all the Google YouTube icons appear all over the globe.

4. Hover over these icons and get a more view of your virtual destination!

Google pull YouTube videos, where the video authors have put geographic specific information in them, also known as geotagging.

With videos now embedded into the globe you can discover interesting videos you may never have otherwise discovered. One cons of these new feature is you may be given an unrelated video about a certain place as users may use geotags to spam this new feature.
