Why was it called Last Song Syndrome, abbreviated as LSS, anyway?
In the UrbanDictionary.com, it is defined as:
To listen to music before going out of the house, and having the last song you hear before leaving stick in your head all through your journey, and beyond. Is usually accompanied by subconscious humming. This syndrome is particularly dangerous when the song happens to be the most pathetic, crappy, albeit catchy song ever.
Some Pinoy listeners refer it as “kantang hindi mawala sa isip.” Did it come to your mind where did this term really come from or who coined it? When I tried to search it in the web, I wondered why there was no exact definition available for the term. It seems that it is not widely used in literature, especially so in music literature. But what surprised me more was the results showed that most, if not only, Filipinos are using it! Could it be that the term originated from us or are we the only people using the said term?

I guess it’s called earworms on other countries. Try searching for the term in Wikipedia.

Up to now we still don’t know who coined the term. Been searching the web for it too, all I got are the definitions. Maybe we should ask Yahoo! since Google answers is out.
