Finally, I finished designing my Ang Musika Natin Website. It took me two hours! Hah, good thing it’s our family visit day. I was supposed to visit my family in the community where we are currently immersed as part of our Community Medicine course. But here I am, designing for a website! Haha. I will just re-schedule my visit on Saturday. :-p
Anyway, the two hours of designing my new site is all worth it. I was satisfied with the result. Using the tutorial by Leon Kilat, and the fantastic Neo-Sapienv0.6 Theme by WPDesigner.com, I have managed to make the layout appear like a portal.
I am not done yet with the banner design. Anyone who could offer to design the banner for me? ;-). I am not good in graphic design, I must admit.
It was a tedious task, nonetheless fulfilling after I have seen the result. I will make this available for download later. I still have few changes and instructions to include in the download file.

I got a new link for my site: blog.vmyap.pandela.net. dmn! web host hehe..
anyways, will this portal have reviews, band sites, myspaces links, yahoo group links and the likes, that would be really cool parang one place for every opm music fans. parang titikfilipino or titikpilipino.

Your changing hosts again? Yeah, I noticed that Hosts4.net has several downtimes lately. Maybe you can try http://ej.am, it’s highly recommended! They are my host for this blog. Yun nga lang, you have to maintain a certain number of posts for a certain package within 2 weeks. But when you can’t make the required number of posts, you will be automatically downgraded to the lower package corresponding your number of posts. It’s not hard to maintain the hosting package because the community is growing and you have a lot of topics to reply to. Try them!
Yup! I will add the links of some artists and OPM sites. However, I can’t offer free downloads or links to some mp3 files as it will violate the host’s TOS and copyright issues as well.
There are lyrics and chords available for everybody. Yeah, parang TitikPilipino ang style, but with lyrics nga lang. Sana maraming mag-join.

Well titikpilipino used to have lyrics on their site kaso nga may legal issues so they remove it and after some months or so yun a brand new titikpilipino came out with short reviews kaso ang konti naman ng nirereview nila. It will be cool to have atleast all categories of music in one portal. na may review. It will he a haven for opm lover dyan sa tabi-tabi kasi they get the info on one site. But will take alot fo time lalo na yung mga indie bands. hehe
My sis has a site that she gets her opm lyrics, but she can’t remember eh hehe.
of course no illegal mp3’s hehe may site na ganoon eh ;).
about my site url and hosts, well i’m still with pandela not bad narin kasi the same as hosts4.net except 100 mb additional compared to pandela. I think i’ll stay with this one for awhile, twice n ako ng papalit host both times ng sara yung hosts hehe.

You designed a site in two hours? Awesome.

Well actually, I just tweaked some codes to make it appear as a portal. The design was done by WPDesigner and I just modified some CSS codes and HTML.
